The chairman of United Bank for Africa (UBA) and Tony Elumelu Foundation has shared late throwback photographs on Thursday evening. The entrepreneur who has vowed through his Tony Elumelu Foundation to support entrepreneurship in Africa also shared some life lessons.
The collage he shared includes three photographs from his university days in 1983, Standard Trust Bank (STB) days in 2003 and his present life as an established banker and philantropist. The transformation has been remarkable.
Mr. Elumelu captioned the photograph;
1983 - as a student at Bendel State University
2003 - as CEO of Standard Trust Bank
2016 - as the Chairman of UBA, Transcorp Plc, Heirs Holdings and Founder of the Tony Elumelu Foundation

Tony Elumelu is an economist. He studied economics at Ambrose Alli University (formerly Bendel State University). He also studied economics in the masters level at the University of Lagos. He later proceeded to study at the prestigious Harvard Business School. He was born in March 1963 and is currently 53 years old. As the founder of the Tony Elumelu Foundation, he has helped thousands of upcoming entrepreneurs across Africa.
