Seyi Shay: I can’t go nude in music videos

Celebrated female artiste, Seyi Shay disclosed in an interview that she cannot appear naked on any music video.

Popular songstress and rave of the moment, Seyi Shay has disclosed that she cannot appear nude in any of her music videos. In a recent interview with Encomium Weekly, Seyi Shay said nudity is not her thing.

I’ve never been nude in any of my videos, I’ve just been trendy…I don’t stand for it, I don’t think it’s tasteful. But I do think that everybody has a right to their own creative expression. I’m not going to be nude in my videos, I promise.

The talented female artiste claimed that nudity can be corrected if the trend setters encourage people to cover up. She also spoke against hypocrisy among Nigerian fans.

I actually think that we can correct it in the industry generally if the trend setters and influential people start buying into the idea of people being covered up.

We as Nigerians we are very hypocritical, nobody’s talking about what these men and women do behind closed doors, in settings where there are no cameras. We just scrutinize and criticize people who are just working, making their money.

We can change the whole view on TV and it would still be cool. I’m not hypocritical, what happens behind closed doors? I could cover up and all my peers could do the same, but it still won’t change what happens when there are no cameras.

According to reports, the delectable Seyi Shay is set to drop her debut album ‘Seyi Or Shay’ on November 13.
