Paul Odijie, a Lagos-based photographer has won Nikon’s Photo Competition. He beats Abuja-based photographer Simi Vijay to win first place.
Lagos based photographer, Paul Odijie has won Nikon’s “I AM ALIVE” Facebook Photo competition. The competition which attracted many photographers across the country had a price tag of $1000 (N199,000) attached to it.
Announcing the winners through their Facebook page, Nikon thanked all those who participated.

Paul Odijie has been doing professional photography for many years now. He started while he was still a student at the University of Benin. He recently received an award from former Minister of Defence, TY Danjuma. Paul has revealed that international photographer, Kelechi Amadi-Obi is his mentor.
He said this is the first photograph competition he is participating in. Before he was selected as the winner of the competition, Paul posted this message on Facebook;
Ok… i sent this photograph to Nikon for their current #IAMALIVE photography competition (actually, my first photography competition to participate in). Out of more than 700 amazing photographs from several very good photographers, i am honored to be among the 30 finalist. Nikon said that if you vote for me and share this post, i will win the 3rd prize (people’s choice). Guess what? I don’t want to win the 3rd prize but the 1st one…LOL.
