Boko Haram, in its violent campaign has in the last 2 weeks slaughtered, abducted or driven away residents of dozens of villages in Michika district of Adamawa State, close to the Cameroon border.
According to reports, scores of people, especially men have been killed and women and children abducted.
CNN quoted Adamu Kamale, a lawmaker representing Michika district in the Adamawa state House of Assembly state that the insurgents “move house to house, killing people including the old, abducting women, and children and burning homes.”
According to him, no one is available to bury the bodies littering the villages because residents have fled to the mountains, across the border to Cameroon and others to Yola, the state capital.
Hon. Kamale told CNN that “They slaughter people like animals.”
