The wild and mysterious fire started late friday,initially consuming about 50 acres of land.But by Saturday evening, it had spread to 25,000 acres. Thousands are fleeing in response to the mandatory evacuation order for the communities of Cobb, Middletown, Harbin Hot Springs and Big Canyon Road.
The fire which spread to Amador and Calaveras counties,about 70 miles east of Sacramento, has consumed 65,000 acres. At least 85,000 acres, 50 outbuildings and threatens 6,150 homes. The wild fire is causing a stir at its fast rate, which threatens more and more homes.
“As we came down just fire everywhere and all of our houses our neighbor’s houses, our friend’s houses. “Everybody’s houses are burning up its awful.”
Joy Rim, a victim of the fire explained .
Right now, there are about 3,300 firefighters,100 officers and deputies from 23 agencies which have responded to a request for mutual aid to manage the wild fire.
