Following Senator Jonah Jang’s invitation by the EFCC, the former governor has told people of the state that it is his duty to inform them of his intention to honor the invitation.
Senator Jonah Jang has announced his willingness to appear before the Economic Crimes Commission (EFCC) today, over allegations leveled against him.
According to a press statement signed by the senior legislative aide to the senator, Olivia Dayzem, Senator stated that it is his duty to inform his supporters as well as people of Plateau North of his invitation by the EFCC. He further stated that it is his duty to clarify issues pertaining to areas that are seemingly unclear.
Mr. Dayzem, stated that the senator took oath of office to defend the constitution. That was what he did, as a governor and he is continuing as a lawmaker.
Senator Jang therefore, warned that no one should misinform the public with contrived stories. He howver called on his supporters to remain calm over the development.
