Sadiq Daba who won the award for best actor at the AMAA is set to clinch the same award at the forthcoming Best of Nollywood Awards BON.
Popular Nigerian actor and broadcaster, Sadiq Daba, who was adjudged the Best Actor in a Leading Role in Africa at this year’s Africa Movie Academy Award,AMAA, is set to make another history as he has been nominated for the Best Actor category in the forthcoming Best of Nollywood Awards BON.
Sadiq Daba was nominated again for his role as Inspector Danladi Waziri in Kunle Afolayan’s thriller, “October 1.” He will be battling for the award with the likes of IK Ogbonna (My Rich Boyfriend), Mike Omoregbee(Invasion 1897), Gabriel Afolayan (Ojuju) and Okey Uzoeshi (The Date). Also, Femi Adebayo and Odunade Adekola will battle for Best Yoruba Actor award alongside Muyiwa Ademola, Lateef Adedimeji and Bayo Alawiye.
However, Stephanie Okereke’s “Dry”alongside Kunle Afolayan‘s “October 1” emerged top of the list with 11 nominations each. Nominations bagged by ‘Dry’ include, Best Actress in Leading Role (English) –Stephanie Okereke, Best supporting Actress (English) Liz Benson, Best Child Actress – Zubaida Ibrahim Fagge, Movie with the Best Social Message, Best Special Effect, Best Screenplay, Best Editing, Best Sound Track, Movie with the Best Production Design, Best Cinematography, Movie of the Year and Director of the Year.
