Governor Rochas Okorocha vowed to make the corrupt civil servants refund very ‘kobo’ they misappropriated
Governor of Imo State, Rochas Okorocha, has sacked at least two permanent secretaries and six directors serving in the state Civil Service over alleged fraudulent activities.
According to Vanguard news, one of the affected officials who allegedly defrauded the state government N45million, may be handed over to the Economic and Financial Crimes Control (EFCC) for interrogation and possible prosecution.
Governor Rochas Okorocha also vowed to make the corrupt civil servants refund very ‘kobo’ they misappropriated. The indicted government official have also been ordered to hand over to the most senior staff in their respective institutions.
The Imo Governor, who is keen to bring all offenders of the law to book, also demanded the files of all those who either falsified their dates of birth or length of service for “proper disciplinary action.”
