The NSCDC recently arrested a deaconess who reportedly stole two babies.
A deaconess identified as Abioye Olusona, was arrested by the Ogun State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps NSCDC. She was arrested for allegedly stealing two-weeks old twin babies, reports Premium Times.
The spokesperson of the state NSCDC, Kareem Olanrewaju, said the suspect was arrested at the Primary Health Centre located in Joju area of Sango-Ota, Ogun State after she took the babies to the health center for immunization.
Olanrewaju said that the hospital suspected the deaconess stole the babies when, after routine checks, it was discovered that there was no fluid in her breasts. The clinic then tipped the Command which moved swiftly to arrest the woman and took possession of the babies.
