As the revamping of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) continues, an industry source has intimated the public that 50% of the top staff in NNPC may be retired.
According to the source, this move will likely affect top managers in NNPC subsidiary firms. It was alleged that the new NNPC boss Dr Ibe Kachikwu prefers to work with a smaller group.
Just some days ago, Dr Kachikwu had sacked all eight executive directors of the corporation and replaced them with four new executives. This shake-off and compulsory retirement will affect top managers that have worked in NNPC for decades.
As the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) plans the retire of about 50% of its top staff, their are also speculations that the shake-off will soon affect all the managers of the refineries and other related firms.
