Two Nigerian men were nabbed on their way to join the dreaded terrorist group, ISIS.
Imran Kabir,24, and Jamilu Sani, 25 were caught in India.
The two Nigerian allegedly scaled a 20-foot-high security fence in order to gain entry to Pakistan illegally. From Pakistan they hoped to navigate to Iraq.
The security personnel began to suspect the men because of their suspicious looks and high speed.
The Indian authorities confirm that;
“Both had come to India on student visa in 2014. They said they were headed for Afghanistan en route to Iraq, which was their final destination. They wanted to pursue Islamic studies in Pakistan before that,”
When the Nigerians were searched, a copy of the Quran, mobile phones, and the sum of 4,000 Naira was recovered from them. But no weapon was found with them.
The men also allegedly stolen a taxi from a sleeping taxi-driver to quicken their movement.
They have the handled to the police for thorough investigations. Their are also suspicions that Imran Kabir and Jamilu Sani may be members of the ferocious Boko Haram group in Nigeria. The Boko Haram sect pledged allegiance to ISIS some months ago.
Security Operatives all over the globe have being advised to keenly watch the movements of youth to Syria and the Middle East; as some of them may be ISIS recruits.
