Multiple bomb explosion rocked three different locations in Maiduguri, capital of Borno State that claimed the lives of 33 people on the 7th March. The death toll as at today has arisen to 100.
The first bomb attack was by a female suicide bomber at 11:20 am killing about 18 people at the Baga Fish Market.
The second explosion one hour from the first went off at the Monday Market, claiming lives. Shortly after 1:00 pm Borno’s Justice Commissioner Kaka Shehu Lawan phoned AFP in Maiduguri to confirm a third bombing at the busy Borno Express Bus Terminal, but did not immediately provide details on casualties.
“We condemn these acts in their entirety and we extend our condolences to the victims,” Kaka Shehu Lawan added
