John Atte is now the tentative Comptoller General of the Nigeria Customs. He awaits President Buhari to either confirm him or appoint another person.
John Atte, the former Deputy Comptoller General, has emerged the new boss of the Nigeria Customs.
John Atte took the baton of leadership following the resignation of Abdullahi Dikko as the Comptroller General.
He was in charge of Finance, Administration and Technical Service (FATS). He is expected to managed the office of the Comptroller General unit President Buhari confrims him or appoints a new Comptroller General.
Spokesman of Customs, Wale Adeniyi disclosed to Daily Sun that;
Atte is in charge now and we await the President to state who a substantive CG will be.
Daily Sun alleged than there have been a lot of lobbying for the position since Abdullahi Dikko retired as the Comptroller General by top custom officials. Abdullahi Dikko resigned some weeks ago after speculations that he would be sacked by President Buhari. The Nigeria Customs has been named among the government corporations that will be probed and audited.
