Four members of the robbery gang that invaded two banks in Ikorodu area of Lagos State are now reportedly under the custody of the Nigerian Police.
The robbery operation which was reportedly led by a lady about two weeks ago unleashed terror on two banks in the Ogolonto area of Ikorodu as they carted over N80 million naira after a successful raid from First and Zenith Bank’s strongroom.
According to reports, the first robbery suspect was arrested by military men during a stop and search duty in Ondo State while on his way to his hometown with his share of the loot. The military men who were aware of the Ikorodu robbery incident, found the money in seals of the affected banks.
The military men handed the suspect over to the Lagos State Division of the Nigerian Police where investigations into the robbery incident commenced. The arrested suspect led the Policemen to arrest three other suspected gang member.
Rumours have it that the robbery gang were also masterminds of the Lekki Bank Robbery.
