Renowned Nollywood actress, Hilda Dokubo, is back to the movie industry after a long absence.
Veteran Nigerian actress, Hilda Dokubo, who ruled the screen in the early 90s and 2000 and disappeared for some years, is back with a bang.
Hilda recently won the award of Best Actress (in comedy category) in the just concluded AMAA awards. She recently spoke about her experiences in the industry and what she has been up to.
When asked why she left the movie industry so a long time, she had this to say;
I never left the industry. I was doing other projects. I shot a documentary for educational purposes. A lot of things happened at a time, I needed to go back to school and pursue my masters degree. I also needed to give back to my society. But that does not mean that when I see a good script, I won’t grab it.
Hilda Dokubo answered all the questions gracefully but shoved away questions on her rumoured political career.
About the movie that brought her to lime light, she said it was the movie “Jezebel” which was released in 1992.
