A suspected vandal has been reported to have jumped down from a car transporting him and some other suspects to a court house
A 32-year old suspected vandal, identified as Johnson Ede, reportedly jumped down from a car taking him to a court house.
Ede, who is a suspected vandal along with five others were being transported to a magistrate court on Lagos Island.
According to Punch Metro, the suspect who on December 28, was arrested for destroying water pipes on Akin Adesola Street, Victoria Island and for stealing 350 metres of 12mm cables owned by Hitec Construction Company Limited, reportedly flew down from the car with his both hands cuffed.

The female police officer who was in the car with him said she was the only one chasing after him after he jumped down as no one helped even as she shouted for help from passersby.
Upon arrival at the cort house and presenting every other suspect except Ede, The female police explained to the Magistrate that:
The car was moving when he (Ede) jumped from the window and escaped with the handcuffs in his hands. I was shouting for help, but people did not respond. I decided to let him go so that the five others would not escape as well. We were almost at the court when he jumped down. I can’t explain how he managed to escape.
The alleged vandal is yet to be caught as at the time of this report.
