The movie which is the adaptation of the first instalment of the Fifty Shades trilogy by E.L. James. Despite the fact that Fifty Shades of Grey was “badly wrtten”, according to critics, the trilogy has topped bestseller lists around the world with over 100 milion copies sold with over 52 language translations. It set a record in the UK as the fastest selling paperback of all time.
It is not a surprise therfore that the movie made $30 million on the opening night in the United States of America alone. Staring Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson, Fifty Shades of Grey is mostly loved by women.
The whopping success of the film in the cinemas has proven that having a very successful book/movie is more than writing a perfect book. At least now that a book which was regarded as a “badly written and childish representation of soft porn for women” by a critic has garnered indisputable support and success. A toast to Fifty Shades of Grey! A toast to E. L. James.
