Talented actress, Fathia Balogun has clinched the award for the Best Yoruba Actress at the just concluded Best of Nollywood Awards.
Delta State born ace Yoruba actress, filmmker, producer and director, Fathia Balogun, is having the best of 2015 at the moment.
At the just concluded Best of Nollywood Awards BON, which took place yesterday, December 13, 2015, at Ultra Modern Dome in Akure, Ondo State, announced the actress Fathia Balogun as the winner for the Best Yoruba Actress category.
Fathia who won for her job in self produced movie TORERA, beat some other actresses like Tayo Sobola, Aisha Lawal, Laitan Ogungbile and Oyinkan Elebuibon to clinch the award.
The Movie ‘Torera’ was premiered in 2014 and had a lot of celebrities and dignitaries in attendance.
Fathia who has starred and produced a lot of Yoruba movies have won several awards for her hard work. In 2008, she won the award for the Most Outstanding Actress Indigenous at the Africa Movie Academy Award, which also saw her movie Iranse Aje winning the Best Indigenous Film of the year.
Fathia Balogun is a mother of two and was formerly married to Veteran Actor, Saidi Balogun. In 2015, she won also won Best Indigenous Language: Yoruba award for the work done in the film Iya Alalake at the 2015 Africa-Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards AMVCA.
