Chelsea football club won their first Premier League match after losing to Manchester City 3 – 0 some days ago.
Chelsea won West Brom 3 – 1 in first win of the season. The club survived almost 40 minutes with 10 men to claim their first Premier League victory of the season with a 3-2 win at West Bromwich Albion on Sunday.
John Terry was sent off for a second-half foul on Salomon Rondon but Morrison’s header was not enough as Chelsea hung on. The result ended a poor start to the season for Chelsea.
Morrison missed a penalty for West Brom on 14 minutes before Pedro and Diego Costa made it 2-0 to Chelsea after half an hour.
New signing Pedro was among the scorers for the champions as Chelsea led 3-1 but after captain John Terry was sent off, James Morrison’s second goal meant the visitors had to cling on for three points.
Unlike their previous two games Pedro provided them with enough inspiration to build the foundations for an edgy win, though they were given an early let-off after Nemanja Matic tripped Callum McManaman for the early spot-kick.
Jose Mourinho had criticised some of his players after earning only a point in their first two games, but Pedro gave their attacking an extra thrust, particularly on the counter attack. The football possession in the match was 56:44 in favour of Chelsea.
