Burna Boy has signed a Songwriter Agreement with Universal Music Publishing Company.
Burna Boy (born Damini Ebunoluwa Ogulu) has signed an “Exclusive Songwriter Agreement” with the African imprint of Universal Music Publishing Group. This puts the artiste on the big league. Recall that the music company was associated with the late pop legend Michael Jackson through its Motown Records imprint.
Universal Music Publishing Group is a subsidiary of Universal Music Group which is the largest music corporation in the world and operates as a subsidiary of Vivendi, a conglomerate of over 58,000 employees.
This arrangement will put Burna Boy‘s words and name around the globe as various musicians under their label sing songs he has written for them. Economically, the Nigerian singer will earn royalties for life for every song he writes for the company.
