Senator Bukola Saraki has emerged as the president of the eighth senate of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
Bukola Saraki who is a former governor of Kwara State of Nigeria defeated his fellow All Progressives Congress (APC) senator who was preferred by the party, Ahmed Lawan to become the President of the Senate.
According to reports, election for the office of Deputy Senate President is still ongoing between last administration’s deputy Ike Ekweremadu and Ali Ndume.
