A group of men suspected to be members of dreaded Boko Haram terrorist group attacked a military camp in Ngelzarma town of Yobe state, North Eastern Nigeria today. Eyewitnesses reported that the terrorist group burnt the military camp alongside trailers loaded with grains belonging to traders in the town.
A resident of the Ngelzarma town, Mallam Hassan Aminu told newsmen that the people in Ngelzarma had prior information that the assailants were sighted at a village, Fadangara, few kilometers away from their town. He said they were surprised that security operatives did not respond accordingly even though they were duly informed of the impending attacks by the residents of Ngelzarma.
Boko Haram invaded Ngelzarma town, Yobe around 4pm where there were shooting in the air. Eye witnesses claim that the attackers came in a very large number. No life was reported lost.
