Another bomb explosion, suspected to be masterminded by Boko Haram, hit a market, Beneisheikh in Borno State yesterday, Sunday, 8th March killing about five persons.
Meanwhile, death toll from the previous multiple bomb attacks on Maiduguri, Borno State last week has risen from 58 to 100.

A resident of Beneisheikh, Modu Gana, told Punch that,
We saw the dead bodies being conveyed to the Beneisheikh Hospital and those wounded were assisted by the members of the civilian JTF to the hospital. The market dispersed as people and traders took to their heels for safety after the explosion occurred.
The Director of Defence Information, Major General Chris Olukolade, while reacting to reports from the media that Chad and Niger had began a joint operation to fight the Boko Haram insurgence in Nigeria, stated that the fight to curb terrorism made it necessary for collaborative efforts among other countries engaged in the operation.
