Recall that we reported yesterday that Linda Ikeji acquired a Banana Island mansion. It seems that many people did not take the news well.
Betty Irabor reacting through her Facebook account wrote;
So Linda Ikeji acquired a house in Posh Banana Island and while majority of the blogosphere celebrated and jubilated over the major feat, some decided to rain on her parade. She should be married at 35, they wrote! What has marriage got to do with the fact that Linda is making great strides and breaking down barriers? Is being married now a prerequisite for success? Here is a young lady who is focused on her passion and excelling, we ought to celebrate her achievements and not try to denigrate her. When she finally meets the man who is not intimidated by her giant strides and whom she wants to spend the rest of her life with she will settle down. Marriage is by choice, it is not about societal expectations.
