Johan Cyruff, the ex-Barcelona player and coach has been diagnosed with cancer of the lung.
After discovering that he was suffering from a disease on Tuesday, he is set to undergo further test to determine how severe and how advanced his situation is.
According to his spokesperson, Carole Thate revealed when speaking with the Press Association.
He has been in hospital this week for tests and lung cancer has been confirmed.
Barcelona’s president Josep Maria Bartomeu confirmed it too via a post on his twitter account.

Johan Cyruff moved to Barcelona from Ajax in 1973 and won the La Liga and Copa del Rey in a five year spell with the team as a footballer.
He returned to Barcelona as a manager in 1988 after leading Ajax his former club as a footballer to two Eredivisie titles and the Cup Winners’ cup.
During his managerial career with Barcelona, the club won four La Liga and their first European cup during his eight years at the club. He also layed the foundation for he club’s heavy focus on youth development and a defining passing style that ran through all levels of play at the club.
