Empire Mates Entertainment (EME) Records boss and artiste, Banky W (born Olubankole Wellington) has disclosed that the next album he will be releasing will possibly be his LAST. The “Jasi” crooner made this known in a series of tweets he released on Monday 22nd June, 2015. The album is being worked on by legendary producers, Cobhams Asuquo and Sunday Nweke (a.k.a. Masterkraft).
In a tweet, Banky W wrote
…This MIGHT POSSIBLY be my last album. Beg him for me ooo
While Banky W seem to be really excited about the album he is about to release, he also hailed the ingenuity Cobhams Asuquo and Masterkraft. He wrote
I can’t wait for y’all to hear the music I’ve made with Cobhams and Masterkraft. Bout to change the game. Again… Cobhams and Masterkraft. I’m in awe of the talent these guys possess. I’m in awe. May God bless these two for me and make them Bigger.
Recall that Banky W has been talking about this album since March 2015 when he and Cobhams Asuquo first started working on the project in Houston.
Banky W also wants Mavin Records boss, Don Jazzy to work with him on this new and “possibly last” album and appealed to his fans to urge the ace producer to join him on the project.
On a final note, this album will not be complete if I don’t work with @DONJAZZY. This MIGHT POSSIBLY be my last album. Beg him for me ooo
Banky W first broke into the limelight in 2008 when he released the single, “Ebute Metta“, a remix of Rihanna‘s “Umbrella“. Since then, he has released albums and built one of the strongest music labels in the Nigerian music industry. If this is really going to be his last album, Don Jazzy should really join Masterkraft and Cobhams to make it a success… just saying…
