On 15th April, 2014, over 200 girls were abducted by the deadly Boko Haram terrorist group in Chibok, Borno State, North Eastern Nigerian. It is exactly nine months today since these girls were abducted and yet, the Nigerian military has not be able to rescue them.
Meanwhile, there has been several reports of little girls been sent to crowded areas and schools to suicide-bomb innocent citizens in the same region. It has been rumoured in various quarters that these girls might be tools in the hands of the terrorist organization to perpetrate this evil of children suicide bombers.
A concerned citizen said “a woman who has been pregnant for nine months should be giving birth to her child by now.”
“Nine months is significant in the course of life in general,” he added.
The christian girls, according to some reports have been coerced to convert to Islam and married off.
Nigeria’s president who is seeking a reelection is reported to have made an unscheduled visit to Borno State today.
The #BringBackOurGirls campaign is gradually losing momentum as all hope seems to be lost already. Only a few prominent Nigerians like Oby Ezekwesili, a former Nigerian Minister even mention it now.
