The Nigerian Election Debate Group (NEDG) has revealed that they received over 6,000 questions for the Presidential debate.
The questions which are meant for the presidential aspirants ahead of the February polls will be considered and harmonized by the Questions Harmonization Committe, Mr. Isaac Ighure said on behalf of the NEDG.
The group has also dispelled speculations that the All Progressive Congress (APC)’s candidate, General Muhammed Buhari has opted out of the debate.
“So far, all the political parties are attending the debate beginning from Sunday. There is no party that has written to the NEDG saying it is not going to take part,” Founding Chairman/Consultant of the group, Chief Taiwo Alimi said.
The NEDG is composed of various Nigerian organizations, including Nigeria Guild of Editors, National Council of Women Societies and Broadcasting Organizations of Nigeria (BON).
