Three women who are suspected to be members of the dreaded Boko Haram terrorist group have blown themselves up in an attempted suicide murders during an attack of Boko Haram on a military base in Maiduguri on Wednesday. One of them according to an army officer blew herself up killing 3 members of the vigilante group that support the Nigerian Army in their work while the other two female suicide bombers killed only themselves.
The number of Boko Haram members that were reported to have attacked the base are said to be in hundreds. One of the vigilante fighters, Ibrahim Musa told The Associated Press that he was shocked that Boko Haram could be in such large numbers.
“Many of them (Boko Haram) were killed outside the trenches while some fled back. We were with the soldiers during the attack and I was shocked to see that Boko Haram could be in such large numbers.”
The fight against Boko Haram in Nigeria may become more difficult if female terrorists increase because the army might be deceived into trying to rescue these women and get attacked by them when they let down their guard.
