The new governor of Kogi State, Yahaya Bello, was sworn in some hours ago, and as expected, James Faleke was absent.
Some months back, the people of Kogi suffered the loss of their elected governor, Abubakar Audu, which instantly left the office vacant.
Not long after, the winning party, chose Yahaya Bello, to take the place of Audu, who died before he could be sworn in as the State’s governor.
Yahaya, was sworn in today, and noticably absent at the swearing in was James Faleke, Audu’s deputy in the race.
He has been reported to have tendered his grievances and anger at the election tribunal, though no news as been heard as at the time of this report.
Yahaya Bello is from the Ebira speaking part of the state and has been termed to be the youngest governor democratically elected in Kogi State.
