A pastor’s son in Delta State identified as Silas Anidi, allegedly beheaded an 11-year-old girl, Aghogho Igbi, for ritual purposes.
The 15-year-old Silas Anidi who is presently in police custody, is the son of the General Overseer and Founder of God Peculiar Evangelical Ministry in Sapele area of Delta state.
He was reportedly caught by neighbours when he tried the kill the sister of his victim, who witnesses the beheading.
It was gathered that the two families were very close and that Silas had gone for a visit when he carried out the dastardly act.
Confessing to his crime, the pastor’s son named one Christian who is currently on the run as his accomplice.
It was his brother who is in Ghana that gave us the contract. He promised to pay us N50,000 and also help us to relocate to Ghana.
I started monitoring the Igbi’s family because I know that they used to leave their children at home and go out. Luckily on November 28, 2015, I visited their house and as God will have it, their elder sister, Janet said that she wanted to go to school for evening lesson. I was excited that I was left alone with the much younger ones.
I sat down on the rug and was watching cartoon network with Aghogho. While she was busy enjoying herself, I dragged her head back and sliced her throat.
I rushed to the next room where Favour was sleeping and tried to do the same but she woke up and started struggling with me. I tried to slice her throat but she started screaming.
I only managed to stab her in the head but her screams were too much that neighbours were attracted. I was about to escape when neighbours caught me.
I am the son of the General Overseer of God Peculiar Evangelical Ministry, Sapele, Delta State. I am ashamed of myself because my family especially my dad, will be disappointed in me.
I was not satisfied with the little money that we made in the church that is why I wanted to travel to Ghana to make money. I was deceived that until we get human head that we will not succeed. He promised to pay N50,000 for each human head.
Usman Baba Alkali, the Commissioner of Police in Delta State has confirmed the incident. He claimed that the police has begun investigations into the incident.
