Vuyo Interviewed About SABC Crew Robbery [Watch Video]

The contributing Editor of the South African Broadcasting Corporation (SABC) Vuyo Mvoko was interviewed in SABC studios and narrated the ordeal he and his crew went through last night when they were robbed at gun point opposite Millpark Hospital while waiting to report the arrival of Edgar Lungu, the president of Zambia at the hospital.

The newly-elected Edgar Lungu who was sworn into office on 20th January this year in Lusaka collapsed on Sunday 9th March during a public ceremony while watching a military procession.

Recounting his ordeal, SABC‘s Vuyo Mvoko said;

The lights were directly on my eyes and I could not see… others [crew members] were standing around… and I saw these strangers…I had my phone in my hand… Sophie shouted “give them your phone”… they took about 2 or 3 phones. My phone, Sophie’s phone…they took the laptop we were using… and just disappeared.
