The song which was a track in Eedris’ 2002 sophomore album address the problems faced by female students in Nigerian tertiary institutions. In the song, he focused on Money and Sex which was used to gain higher grades in Nigerian tertiary institutions. The song also points out the uncultured act of lecturer demanding for sex in exchange for good grades.
Mr. Lecturer got wide social appreciation as far back as 2002 till date; hitting up Eedris Abdulkareem as one of the most revered music acts in that year. The satirical song is surprisingly still relevant today.
