Popularly known as “Beyonce of Africa”, Lira is a South African singer. She covers Marie Claire naked against sexual violence.
South African contemporary R&B and Afro-soul singer-songwriter, Lerato Molapo, popularly known as Lira has posed nude on the cover of the latest edition of Marie Claire South Africa.
Earlier today, she said on her instagram, “covering the #MCNaked Campaign isue, out today. Doing my bit against sexual violence. #BlowTheWhistle. The most challenging shoot I’ve done yet.”
Lira is a platinum-selling singer, model, and actress who has “conquered South Africa and much of Europe with her irresistible blend of R&B, Jazz and African styles”, says her website, “she is now set to conquer America with the release of er debut US singer “Feel Good” and her debut U.S. album release “Rise Again.”
Called the “Beyonce of Africa”, Lira has released four multi-platinum selling albums and has won MTV Base Awards, MOJO Awards and many others. In 2010, she performed alongside Alicia Keys, Shakira, John Legend and other international stars at the FIFA World Cup Kick-off Concert.
