Argentine forward Lionel Messi stated that the world cup would have been empty without Argentina in it. 

Lionel Messi made this comment after he helped his country secure a place in Russia 2018. The Argentine forward scored an impressive hat trick against Ecuador to book a ticket in the world cup. 

The Argentine forward scored twice in the first half and added the third in the second half. After the match, he made this statement:
