Christiano Ronaldo has been voted he Fifa world best player for the second year in a row.
The Portuguese forward Christiano Ronaldo edged Neymar and Lionel Messi to claim the highly coveted award.
While some might argue that he hasn’t had a good start this season, the Portuguese was instrumental last year.
He led Real Madrid to their eleventh Champions league title and Spanish la liga title. He was also the highest goal scorer in champions’ league and he scored much needed goals.
When asked about the award, his Portuguese teammate Nuno Gomes had this to say:
“He hasn’t scored as much as Messi up to this moment but he had a wonderful season and won the Champions league.
“At the beginning of the season he was suspended so he missed a lot of games but I think he’s now coming back. I think he will have a wonderful season again”
