Alex Iwobi has been deemed fit of world class status but he needs more goals.
Arsenal footballer, Alex Iwobi will only be considered world class if he adds more goals to his tally says former Arsenal player Ray Parlour.
The Arsenal star Alex Iwobi is no doubt the darling in the hearts of many Nigerians as he came from the bench in few minutes to hand the national team a pass into the 2018 world cup.
The young midfielder scored late in the game in what became the only goal of the match after a controversially ruled out Zambian opener to ensure Nigeria’s passage into the world cup but Ray Parlour feels he needs to score more if he wants to be categorized as one of the football greats.
Ray Parlour who recently concluded the football clinic for coaches and children which was hosted by MTN in collaboration with Arsenal, made the comments at the Teslim Balogun stadium yesterday.
He is reported to have said; “Iwobi is still a young player and in Wenger he is in good hands. He listens and works hard and with time I believe he will become a top player.
“What he needs is to learn to score more goals and contribute more to the defensive side of the game. His movement on the ball is excellent, but he still has a lot to learn.
